Okay, so I returned the version of Pro Plus and downloaded a standard version of Pro. I go through the setup process and get to a point where is asks to validate the product key. I enter in my product key, which it validates, I accept the license terms, choose the customized installation and x-out OneNote.
Then it goes back to the Installation Progress screen again, where it gets hung up again, and gives me the same error message that I started with above: “Microsoft Office Professional Setup has stopped working.

A quick question before we proceed. Do you have any other Office version installed on your computer? I’ll check it and get back to you. When I’ve had a similar situation before I’ve actually had to reinstall the old version of office, use revo-uninstaller to uninstall it, reboot and then was able to install the newer version.
We use symantech and malwarebytes.. Still worth disabling the AV. Just because it worked the other times doesn’t mean it hasn’t locked up some file on this machine.
I turned smantec off and win firewall isn’t on either. I haven’t used a licensing server before so I’d never have known there was a correlation. Good catch. Anything coming up in windows event viewer during the time of the install? Any logs or event IDs would be helpful If it’s just a basic workstation, I would soon just result to re imaging, as funky things like this tend to hinder down the road as well.

My organization is building our Cybersecurity program. I am looking to begin logging and monitoring with a SIEM tool. The two that I am looking at are Datadog and Blumira.
Does anyone have any input about either of these SIEM tools that has experience wit Online Events. Log in Join. Microsoft Office. I’m truly stumped. I have bugged my entire IT team about it relentlessly. I reinstalled MS Office. I wiped my computer and reinstalled windows. Everything is new and clean. I am getting a bit desperate here because this problem has completely stalled development on this database and that is severely problematic. The static query didn’t fix it, haven’t tried the vba generated query yet but I doubt it will do anything. PS I have been getting some other really strange errors with the graphs where MS Graph will be displaying data different from what is in the underlying query.
I can trick it into updating itself but that’s a temporary workaround. There is something severely wrong with MS Graph. PS2 This may have something to do with using a logarithmic axis. It has been doing some seriously screwy stuff since I started doing that. I am getting a similar issue. I upgraded a database to Access Database includes graph. When the form that contains the graph load, displays freezes and Access becomes irresponsive. After closing Access, an msaccess process keep running in the background.
I tried a database on another Windows 7 Pro computer and I get a similar program, except that I do get an error message this relating to the graph.
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. I can reproduce the error every time. There is nothing odd about the data set. No, I haven’t heard anything from them. To be honest I completely forgot about this question. MS Graph is some seriously legacy software that’s sort of crammed into Access.
