Yesterday I bought Office Home premium on Microsoft’s website. I tried to install it but it kept saying that something went wrong. I have followed the instructions on how to solve the issue and currently am using the repair function but it is on step 3 of 4 and has been for an exceptionally long time. Do I need to uninstall and then re-install? Previous to purchasing office home premium, I had the day free trial – could this be causing an issue?

I would really like some help with this as I am considering requesting a refund and all 5 of the installs have not been used as yet.

As per the issue description you are unable to install Office program on the system. Let me assist you with the issue. Did you uninstall the trial version of Office program installed on the system before installing Office program? It is recommended to uninstall the trail version of Office before installing the full version. If repair process is still going on, stop the repair process, reboot the system, uninstall Office program completely from the system and then try to install Office program that you had purchased and check.

Note : If you are using a bit operating system, save the fixit tool on the system and then run it from the saved location.
