If you are unable to view App Data folder then enable the hidden folders and files and check:. Rename the Protect folder to Protect. Open Outlook, enter the Password, ensure the option to remember password is checked and click Ok.

The “remember password” checkbox in the popup keeps getting unchecked every time I reenter my password and check it. I have tried all the following solutions posted in the forum before: – MS KB article – 1. I also renamed the user account None of the above have helped in getting rid of the popup. I tried the steps for setting up a new profile, etc. It would not recognize my password. I am using the same password for my email account that I would use if not using Outlook.
I have no problem with the emails downloading, I can send and receive okay, I just keep getting the annoying pop-up asking for my password when I open Outlook, close Outlook, or send or receive mail. It simply won’t save the password. Here is a copy of it. I had to enter in my password once and that was it.
